Gypsum, or “Calcium Sufate”, is used to increase the hardness of soft brewing water.

Application

Controlling the hardness of your water is especially important when brewing hop-forward beers Harder water will increase the hop perception of your brew. Adding gypsum will decrease the sulphates in your beer.
